  Funeral of Mrs. Proudfoot The funeral took place to Ayr Cemetery on Tuesday afternoon of the late Mrs. Christena Proudfoot, widow of the late George Proudfoot. Her death occurred in Ingersoll on Saturday, in her 80th year. Surviving are one sister, Mrs. William Treffrey, Norwich, and four brothers, Archie McGregor, Ingersoll; William McGregor, Delhi; Peter McGregor, Owen Sound, and Alex McGregor, Brooklyn, N.Y. Mr. and Mrs. Proudfoot were well known in Ayr many years ago, when they resided on the Deans farm near Roseville. Her father was a blacksmith at Perry's Corners. The Ayr News Apr 30 1942 pg 3
