    • Mrs. Alexander Scott

      Mrs. Alexander Scott of RR 2, Drumbo, passed away at Brantford General Hospital on Tuesday, August 12th, following a brief illness. She was in her 89th year. The former Laura Ada Smith she was born in Brussels, a daughter of the late John Smith and Jessie Lowe. As a child she moved with her family to the Canning area. In 1923 she married Alexander Scott and the couple farmed on the townline, RR 2, Drumbo all their lives. She was a member of Knox United Church, Ayr, and had formerly been active in many community organizations. Predeceased by her husband in 1980; also two sisters May Stevenson and Eva Wells and a brother Earl Smith. Surviving are two sons Don of Oakville and Bill of RR 2, Drumbo; a daughter Mrs. Fred (Muriel) Struckett of Grand Bend; six grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. Resting at Wm. Kipp Funeral Home today (Wed.) where afternoon and evening visitation will be held. Funeral service will be held at the funeral home Thursday at 1: 30 p.m. Interment in Ayr Cemetery.
