- Died in South Dumfries on Tuesday, May 24th, 1927 at 12.35 a. m. Charles Gibson in his 57th year. The funeral will take place from his late residence, lot 38, con. 4, South Dumfries on Thursday, May 26th, at 2. o'clock p m. to the Ayr Cemetery.

Charles Gibson \endash A well-known resident of South Dumfries passed away on Tuesday morning in the person of Charles Gibson, aged 56 years. Deceased had been ailing for a number of years and his death was not unexpected. He was born in Aberdeenshire, Scotland, and came to Canada 21 years ago, settling in the Ayr district where he had since resided. Of a jovial, kind-hearted disposition, he was much esteemed by a host of friends who will be grieved to learn of his passing. He made his home with his sister-in-law, Mrs. Thomas Gibson, who survives, along with two nephews, Thomas and Fred, and one niece, Flora. One brother John, Drumbo, a sister, Mrs. Alex Mackie, Richwood and two brothers in Scotland also survive. The funeral takes place this afternoon to the Ayr Cemetery.
