  Passing of Mrs. Thomas Gibson - Mrs. Thomas Gibson passed away at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Erb Clark, Ayr, on Monday, Sept. 10, in her 79th year, after a lengthy illness. Born in Aberdeenshire, Scotland, Mrs. Gibson came to Canada over forty years ago and had been a resident of Ayr district since that time. Her husband predeceased her 47 years ago. She was a member of Knox United Church, Ayr. Left to mourn her loss are her daughter, Mrs. Erb Clark (Flora) of Ayr, and two sons, Thomas Gibson of Rochester, N.Y., and Frederick Gibson, South Dumfries; also seven grandchildren. The funeral service will be held at the home of her son-in-law, Erb Clark, Main street, Ayr, Wednesday afternoon, Sept. 12, at 2.30 o'clock, with interment in Ayr Cemetery.
