    • Mary A. Black Mary Annabelle Black, youngest daughter of the late George D. Black and Mary Smith Guthrie, passed away at Cambridge Memorial Hospital on Thursday, February 13, 1986. She was in her 86th year. Born at Wilton Farm, RR 3, Ayr, where she lived all her life, Mary was devoted to her family, friends and neighbours and contributed rnuch to her community. She was a member of the Townline Community Club and the Blenheim-Dumfries Farm Women's Club. Proud of her Scottish ancestry, Mary aroused others to appreciate their heritage especially since so many in this district had ancestors who pioneered here coming across the sea from Scotland. Mary was the founder of the Townline Scottish Night. She was a faithful member of Knox United Church, Ayr, and in her younger years a devoted Sunday School teacher. She was a valued member of Knox U.C.W. and a dedicated worker of the former Kate M. Thompson Missionary Society of Knox. She was predeceased by her brother George Inglis Black, and her sisters Margaret (Mrs. E. Cochrane) and Elizabeth Black. She leaves her sister-in-law Mrs. George Inglis Black, niece Mary Donovan, nephews Alden, George and John Cochrane and their families. The funeral was held on Saturday, February 15th, 1986, at Kipp Funeral Home, Paris and interment in the Ayr Cemetery. Rev-erend George Saunders of Knox United Church, Ayr, officiated.
