    • Sergt. R. C. Millikin Missing

      Official word has reached his parents. Mr.and Mrs. R. H. Millikin, Trenton. that their son, Sergeant Robert Clifton Millikin is missing following air operations over enemy territory.

      Twenty-seven years old, Sergeant Millikin was born in Ayr, moving to Perth with his parents in 1925, where he attended Perth Public School and Collegiate Institute . Prior to enlisting in September, 1940, he was employed as trainman with the Canadian Pacific Railway. He proceeded overseas in November last. Since January he had taken part in many raids over German territory

      In a letter to his parents from his commanding officer, he was reported to be very keen towards his duty and extremely popular with all his associates.

      Sergeant, Millikin is a grandson of Wm. E. Gammon of Ayr and frequently visited this village where he was quite popular with many friends.
