• Notes

  Robert Mitchell - The death occurred on Friday at the home of his son, Frederick, 10th concession of Blenheim, of Robert Mitchell, in his 81st year, after a short illness. Deceased was born in Wilmot Township, being the youngest surviving member of a family of fourteen. The early part of his life was spent in that vicinity. In the spring of the year 1884 he removed to the 7th concession of Blenheim, where he farmed until January, 1913, when he, with his family, removed to Ayr, residing here until the demise of his wife three years ago, when he went to live with his son. In politics he was a staunch Conservative and a member of the Anglican Church. He leaves to mourn their last three sisters, Mrs. Smaldon, Sandusky, Mich., Mrs. E. Bean, Gretna, Man.; Mrs. S. Smith, New Hamburg; also five children, Clara and Ada, Brantford ; Fred., Drumbo ; Arthur, London, and William, Paris; also three granddaughters and one grandson. The funeral took place to the Ayr Cemetery on Monday afternoon, the services being in charge of Rev. H. W. Snell of Brantford. The Ayr News Nov 23 1933 pg 6
