  Mrs. Ephraim Hawes A life-long resident of Ayr, Mrs. Ephraim Hawes, passed away on Sunday, August 4th, at Riverbend Place, Cambridge. She was in her 90th year. Born September 3, 1901 in Ayr, she was the former Eva May Walton, a daughter of the late Norman Walton and Caroline Holdaway. Predeceased by her husband Ephraim in 1956; a daughter Helen Altamore; one sister and four brothers. Dear mother of Mrs. James (Doreen) Mast of Ayr, Floyd, Lloyd and Gerry, all of Cambridge; loving grandmother of 20 grandchildren and 19 great-grandchildren. Rested at Coutts and Son Funeral Home, Galt, where ftineral service was held Wednesday afternoon. Interment in Ayr Cemetery. The Ayr News Aug 7 1991 pg 12
