  Passing of James A. Hunter The news of the passing of James A. Hunter at Mount Elgin on the 5th inst., came as a shock to the people in Blenheim township. A few weeks ago deceased was ill with the "Flu," but recovered sufficiently to be about again. A couple of weeks ago he and his wife went to Mount Elgin to visit the latter's relatives. While there he contacted a cold which developed pneumonia and the end came on Thursday. Deceased was in his 40th year and was well-known in this locality. For a number of years he resided on the farm two miles south of Washington. About two years ago he sold his farm owing to failing health. He is survived by his wife, who has the sympathy of the entire community in her sad bereavement; Mrs. Geo. Landreth, Ayr, and Miss Elizabeth Hunter are aunts. The funeral took place on Saturday from the residence of the deceased's brother, Mr. Ernest Hunter, Con. 10, Blenheim, to the Ayr cemetery. The Ayr News Dec 12 1918
