  Arthur J. Easton The death occurred at his home, one mile south of Ayr, this (Wednesday) morning of Arthur J. Easton, in his 78th year. Mr. Easton passed away in his sleep. He was born on the Easton homestead, South Dumfries township, being a son of Thomas Easton and Mary Richmond, early Scottish pioneers, and had resided in this community during the whole of his lifetime. Mr. Easton was well known and highly esteemed by many friends as a successful farmer and a good friend and neighbor. He is survived by one son, Thomas, Toronto, and two daughters, Mrs. John Gemmell, Paris, and Miss Dorothy, at home; also by two brothers, Thomas, Ayr, and John, South Dumfries. His wife, whose maiden name was Nettie Transom. passed away many years ago. The funeral will take place on Friday afternoon from the W. O. Ball Funeral Parlor to the Ayr Cemetery, with service at two o'-clock. The Ayr News Dec 11 1947 pg 4
