    • EDGAR, Marion Jean - Passed away peacefully on Sunday, January 1, 2006, at Lisaard House after a brief battle with cancer. She was in her 83rd year. Beloved wife of Alexander Edgar who predeceased her in 1997. Loving mother to Carol of Ottawa and Lyle and his wife Donna of Ayr. Beloved grandmother of Greg, Rose, Mamie, Sarah and Emily Forte and special grandmother of Joanie Edgar. She is also survived by her brother Robert Ford and his wife Marian of Cambridge; her in-laws, Jean and William Stager of Oakville, Dorothy and Clifford Scott of Chatham, Dr. Hugh and Margaret Edgar of London and Bob McLeod and Mary Ovington of Woodstock. Aunt, great-aunt and great-great-aunt to many nieces and nephews. Predeceased by her parents, Robert G. and Mary Ford; her sister Margery Perry, and in-laws, John Rutherford, Fred Perry, Robert Edgar and his wife Jeanette and Marjorie McLeod. Marion grew up on the Ford farm, Greenfield Road and spent 49 years on the Edgar farm on Alps Road before moving to the Village Condominiums in Ayr. She was very active in many areas including Knox United Church, the Ladies Bowling League and various cards clubs. She was a dear friend and supporter of many. Friends will be received at the Ayr Chapel, Wm. Kipp Funeral Home, 183 Northumberland St. Ayr, on Tuesday, January 3, 2006 (today) 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Funeral service to be held in the chapel on Wednesday, January 4, 2006 at 2: 00 p.m. with Rev. John McCauley officiating. Interment Ayr Cemetery. In lieu of flowers donations to Lisaard house would be greatly appreciated by her family (cards available from the funeral home) Wm. KIPP 442-3061.
