  Mrs. Elmer Squires Passes Mrs. Elmer Squires, Bute Street. Ayr, passed away suddenly at her home last Wednesday. The former Mary Blanche Hales, she was born in Apsley , Ontario. Mrs. Squires was a school teacher, having taught in the suburbs of Hamilton and in Parry Sound. In addition, she was a free-lance writer. She was a member of North Bay United Church. The Squires family moved to Ayr 16 years ago. Surviving besides her husband are two sons. Churchill, at home and Robert of Brantford: a daughter. Miss Betty Squires at home; two grandchildren; and a sister, Miss Muriel Hales of Southey, Saskatchewan. Funeral service was held Friday afternoon from the Wm. Kipp Funeral Home, Paris. Rev. D. E.
