  Russell Farncombe Former North Dumfries Township road superintendent, Russell Farncombe, passed away at Brantford General Hospital on Sunday, May 23, 1999. A resident of Telfer Place, Paris, he formerly resided in Galt. He was in his 88th year. Born in Maryborough Township, he was a son of Mary Ann King and John Farncombe. Mr. Farncombe was employed with North Dumfries Township for 40 years. He was a former member of Ayr Masonic Lodge No. 172, A.F. & A.M. Dear husband of Jean Hall; beloved father of Donald and his wife Jo-Anne of Princeton; dear grandfather of Jeff and Corey; predeceased by brothers Clarence, Lloyd, Ross and Sheldon. Rested at the Wm. Kipp Funeral Home, Paris, where funeral service was held Wednesday, May 26th. Rev. Julie Sousa of St. Paul's United Church, officiated. Interment Ayr Cemetery. The Ayr News 26 May 1999 pg 14
