The death occurred suddenly on Saturday of Thomas Kelley, a life-long resident of South Dumfries. He had been assisting a neighbor at threshing when he was stricken.

He was a son of the late Philip Kelley and Margaret Anderson, and during his life on the 5th concession of the township he established a reputation as an excellent farmer and good neighbor.

Surviving, besides his wife, the former Jean Guthrie, are two sisters, Miss Clara Kelley and Mrs. E. Hunt-er, both of South Dumfries, and four brothers, Philip of Paris, Norman of St. Catharines, and Leslie and John, both of South Dumfries.

      The Funeral

Funeral service was held Monday from his late residence, with Rev. C. Wesley Cope of Brantford officiating in the absence of Rev. W. D. Goodger. He was assisted by Rev. J. W. Currie of Ayr. Interment was made in Ayr Cemetery. The pallbearers were six nephews: Ross and Earl Kelley of Paris, Orval Kelley, St. Catharines; Wilbur GuthrIe, Kingsburgh Kyle and Robert Sayles, all of South Dumfries,
