- Haney Lloyd McCloy of Cambridge passed away following a brief illness, at Cambridge Memorial Hospital, on Friday, October 12, 2001. He was in his 62nd year. Born in this district, he was a son of the late Hanley McCloy and Jesse Green. The family resided for years on Swan Street. Haney will he sadly missed by his wife, Helen of 60 years and his sons, Larry and his companion, Gary Lancaster of Toronto and Brian and his wife Linda of Cambridge; loving grandfather of Kerry (Brad) MacDonald and Leah (Jason) Nunnikhoven and great -grandfather to Matthew and Katherine MacDonald and Sarah Nunnikhoven. He will be dearly missed by Cathy and Brian Schoenfeld and their children, Eric and Lisa, who are like family to him. Predeceased by his brothers, George, Norman, Howard and Walter and sisters, Doreen McCIoy, Leona Wilson, Margaret Nickerson-Ranscombe, Verna Bringlow, Ariel Rayfield-Trimborn, Mary Stockford-Cator and Phyllis Gillespie. Haney served overseas during the Second World War with the Army 2nd Division and upon his return to Cambridge, he worked as a machinist. He loved to fish and was an Honorary Member of the Galt Sportsman's Club and a member of the Royal Canadian Legion, Galt Branch No. 121. Rested at Coutts and Son Funeral Home, Cambridge, where funeral service was held on Monday. Interment Ayr Cemetery.
