  R. Roy Hall Passes A well-known and popular lifetime resident of the district, Robert Roy Hall passed away suddenly at his home, RR 1, New Dundee, on Sunday. A son of Mrs. Ivan R. Hall and the late Mr. Hall, he was born on the family farm near Perry's Corners where he resided until a year ago when he moved to New Dundee. In his younger years he was a talented hockey and softball player and performed for New Dundee teams. He was a valued member of Knox Unit Church. Surviving are his wife, the former Janet Lowery; one daughter, Mrs. Dale (Roberta) Schaus of Kitchener; one son, Ivan of RR 1 Ayr; his mother in Ayr; two sisters, Mrs. Roland (Isobel) Brighton of RR 4, Bright, and Mrs. Gerald (Marjorie) Harmer of Plattsville, and three grandchildren. Funeral service was held today (Wednesday) from Coutts & Son Funeral Home, Galt, conducted by Rev. D. E. Willis. Interment was made in Ayr Cemetery. The Ayr News Nov 4 1965 pg 9
