    • Death of Mrs. R. P. Watson

      Many of the older residents of Ayr and district will learn with regret that Bessie Anderson, beloved wife of Robert P. Watson, passed away in Edmonton. Albert, on Sunday morning. Deceased, who was in her 82nd year, had not been in good health for some time.

      A native of Ayr, Mrs. Watson was born in Greenfield, the third daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Walter Anderson. She was married to R. P. Watson over fifty years ago and went to Western Canada. They later returned to Ayr, where they resided for a number of years, eventually going west again. In latter years they resided in Vegreville and Edmonton, Alberta.. A few years ago Mr. and Mrs. Watson celebrated their golden wedding anniversary.

      Besides her husband, she is survived by four daughters and two sons, viz.: May (Mrs. Clark), Edmonton, Alta.; Margaret (Mrs. Watt) of Vegreville, Alta.; Gladys (Mrs. Hanson), Los Angeles, California; Elizabeth (Mrs. Grieg), Edmonton, Alta.; Charles of Vancouver, B. C., and Walter ( "Dicky") of Edmonton, Alta. Surviving also are two sisters, Mrs. G. V. Hastings and Mrs. W. A. Matheson of Winnipeg, Man., and one brother, R. P. Anderson of Los Angeles, California,
