  Jean Kyle A well-known Ayr resident Jean Kyle of Kirkwood passed away at St. Mary's Hospital, Kitchener, on Friday, September 15th. She was in her 77th year. Born on the Kyle family farm, 7th concession of Blenheim, she was a daughter of the late James Kingsburgh Kyle and Jane Black. Except for a short time in Burlington, Miss Kyle resided all her life in this district. She was employed for several years as a cook at Willett Hospital, Paris, and Park Lane Nursing Home, Paris. She was a member of Knox United Church, Ayr and the United Church Women. An active curler and lawn bowler, she was honoured for her service and dedication to Ayr Curling Club by being named a life member of the Club. Survived by sisters-in-law Jeanette of Ayr and Ruth of Brantford, and nieces and nephews. Predeceased by sisters Edith Kyle, Esther Brown and Helen Baxter and brothers Harold and Hector. Rested at the Wm. Kipp Funeral Home, Paris, where Rev. George Saunders of Knox Church, Ayr, conducted funeral service on Monday. Interment Ayr Cemetery. The Ayr News 20 Sep 1989 pg 15
