  FUNERAL OF MRS. MORTON The funeral will take place tomorrow (Thursday) morning on the arrival of the 10.35 train of Mrs. Alexander Morton, who died in Ely, Minnesota, on Saturday, in her 87th year. The late Mrs. Morton, whose maiden name was Charlotte Walker, was born on the farm now occupied by John J. Brown, south of Ayr, being a daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Robert Walker. Prior to going to the States, she had lived in Goderich. Her husband predeceased her in 1889. The pallbearers chosen for the funeral are: J. J. Brown, Thomas Brown, A. L. Easton, Wm. Manson, A. M. Rice and G. S. Dalrymple. Rev. J. W. Currie of Knox United Church will conduct the service. The Ayr News Nov 18 1937 pg 6
