  Ruth E. C. Brown - A sweet, young life was called Home on Saturday, July 9th, at the Sick Children's Hospital, Toronto, in the person of Ruth Elizabeth Cavell, beloved daughter of Mr. and Mrs. John J. Brown, South Dumfries, in her 11th year. She was of a bright, winsome disposition and a favorite with everyone with whom she came in contact. Deceased had been in poor health for several years and, in a final attempt to save her life, she was sent to Toronto about two weeks ago. This proved of no avail, however, and she passed away on Saturday evening. The funeral took place to the Ayr cemetery yesterday afternoon. The Ayr News Jul 14 1927 pg 1
