    • Joseph Edward Shouldice

      A long time farmer of the area, Joseph Edward Shouldice, 77, of North Dumfries died at his residence on Thursday. He was born in Rupert, Que., on October 12, 1887, a son of the late Foster Shouldice and Mary Johnston. Prior to going to Galt area in 1917, he had lived in Ayr district and the Prairie Provinces. While in this area he was employed at the former GoIdie Flour Mills. Deceased was a member of First United Church, Galt. Surviving are his wife, the former Margaret Brown; two daughters, Mrs. Jack Muir (Isabel) of Galt and Mrs. J. R. Young (Margaret) of Chippawa; a son, George of Galt; two brothers, Stanley and Elzie, both of Aylmer, Que.; three sisters, Mrs. Lena Cross, Wakefield, Que.; Mrs. Florabelle Moffat of Aylmer, Que., and Mrs. Abbie Kennedy of San Francisco, Calif. Seven grandchildren and two great-grandchildren also survive. Funeral service as held on Saturday at Coutts Funeral Home, Galt, with interment in Ayr Cemetery.
