- JANZEN, Robert Alvin - Passed away, at K-W Health Centre of Grand River Hospital, after a short but courageous battle with cancer, on Tuesday, August 5, 2008, in his 63rd year. Robert resided in the village of Ayr for the past 27 years. Born in Winnipeg, Man., son of the late Jake and Sadie Janzen. Beloved husband of Lorrie, loved dad to Brian (Kim), Craig (Vanessa) and Donna Budd (Matt), and cherished grandpa to 5 grandchildren, Garrett, Jake, Noah, Kylie, and Jesse; dear brother to Wally (Agnes), Rudy (Aila), Henry (Judy) and Harry (Arlene). Lovingly remembered by his mother-in-law, June Haynes. Also survived by many nieces and nephews. Bob spent the past 36 years as an owner operator, travelling the highways with an exemplary driving record, in which he was very proud of. For the last 17 years, he drove for M Pearce Trucking of Leamington. He will be missed by his fellow truckers and friends he met over the years. Friends may call at the Ayr Chapel of Wm. Kipp Funeral Home , 183 Northumberland St., Ayr, today (Friday) from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Funeral Services will be held in the chapel on Saturday at 11 a.m. Interment Ayr Cemetery. Donations to the Canadian Cancer Society or the Canadian Diabetes Association would be appreciated.
