  Robert Gillespie Robert John (Bob) Gillespie (B.A., Sc. P. Eng.) passed away at the Henderson General Hospital, Hamilton, on September 14, 1999. He was in his 84th year. Beloved husband of Kathleen; father of Joan of Toronto, Paul and his wife Sherry of Toronto; and Ronald of Hamilton. Predeceased by daughter Carol Anne. Son of the late John Albert and Mary Gillespie of Ayr. Brother of George Gillespie and his wife Margaret of Ayr and Jennette Gillespie of Toronto. Brother of the late Hugh and Jean Gillespie. Mr. Gillespie was retired from Canadian Oxygen Ltd. and was well known in the welding industry, having served in Toronto, Windsor and Hamilton for a period of over 40 years. He was an active member of St. Stephen on-the-Mount Anglican Church and served on the church council for several years. Funeral service was held Friday, September 17th at St. Stephen on-the-Mount Anglican Church. Cremation followed. Interment later, in Ayr Cemetery. The Ayr News 22 Sep 1999 pg 12
