  GILLESPIE, George Thomas - At Hamilton General Hospital, as a result of an accident, on Saturday, May 10, 2008, a lifelong and respected farmer of Ayr, in his 88th year. Beloved husband to the late Margaret Stoltz (2002); loved father to Anne Douglas (Larry) of Oakville, John (Mary) of RR 3, Ayr, and Jane Stoltz (Keith) of Listowel; cherished grandfather to Lorna (Steve), Graeme, Amy (Marty), Aidan (Alice), Aaron (Laura), Andrew, Melissa, Cameron, and Emily and great-grandfather to Brock. Also survived by several nieces and nephews. Predeceased by his parents, J. Albert Gillespie and the former Mary Carrick; his brothers, Robert and Hugh and a sister, Jennette. Friends may call at the Ayr Chapel, Wm. Kipp Funeral Home , 183 Northumberland St., Ayr, on Tuesday, May 13 from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Funeral services will be held at Knox United Church (92 Northumberland St., Ayr) on Wednesday, May 14 at 2 p.m. with Rev. Fred Hagle officiating. Interment Ayr Cemetery. Donations to Knox United Church Renovation Project would be appreciated.
