  Kathleen Nixon Kathleen Nixon, formerly of Ayr, died at Telfer Place, Paris on Friday, September 17, 2004. Mrs. Nixon was in her 89th year. Born in Toronto she was daughter of the late Kathleen Monro and George Blakey. Mrs. Nixon was an active and longtime member of Christ Anglican Church, Ayr; was employed as a nurse for many years at the Willett Hospital, Paris; worked with her husband in the Scouting movement for many years and was an avid gardener and community volunteer. She is survived by her husband, Charlie; two children, Liz and her husband Dave Bates of London and Charlie of Waterloo and by grand-daughters Meredith and Emily Nixon. In addition to her parents she was predeceased by her daughter Patricia Ann in 1962 and by her brother George. Friends were received at the Ayr Chapel, Wm. Kipp Funeral Home then to Christ Anglican Church, Ayr where funeral service was held on Monday, September 20 at 11:00 a.m. Reverend France Ouimet-Wilson officiated. Interment was in Ayr Cemetery.
