  Died In Ayr, on Tuesday, December 7 1943 Margaret Isabella Henderson in her 87th year. The Funeral (Private) Will take place from her late residence, Northumberland Street, on Thursday, Dec. 9th, at 2.30 p.m., to the Ayr Cemetery. Funeral Card ______________________ Lifelong Resident Passes Miss Margaret Isabella Henderson Had Resided In Ayr for 86 Years After an illness of but ten days, the death occurred at her home here on Tuesday morning at 1.30 o'clock of Miss Margaret Isabella Henderson, Northumberland street, in her 87th year. Miss Henderson was born in Ayr, being a daughter of the late Richard Anderson and Margaret Hope Henderson. She resided in this village the whole of her long lifetime and naturally witnessed many changes. Of a kind and friendly disposition, Miss Henderson had a host of friends, by whom she was held in high esteem. She was a great lover of flowers and in the summer months spent much time in her garden. She was a member of the former Stanley Street Presbyterian Church and after the union attended Knox United Church. Surviving is on brother, James W. Henderson, Ayr. The funeral, which will be private, will take place from her late residence on Thursday afternoon at 2.30 o'clock to Ayr Cemetery. The Ayr News Dec 9 1943 pg 3
