- Archie E. Matheson
The death occurred at Sunnybrook Hospital, Toronto, on Tuesday of Archie E. Matheson, a former well-known resident of this community.
The late Mr. Matheson was at one time an engineer at the former Hecker'97H-O plant at Greenfield. He subsequently resided at Napanee for many years.
Surviving are two sons, William of Toronto and Donald in the U.S.A., and two daughters, Mrs. Gerald Garrison (Patricia) of Napanee and Mrs. John Phippen (Jean) of Scar-borough. He was predeceased some years ago by his wife, the former Kathleen Eichler. Funeral service on Friday at 2 p.m. from W. O. Ball Funeral Home, Ayr. Interment in Ayr Cemetery. Dolman Lodge will conduct a service at the funeral home on Thursday at 8 p.m.

Archie Mathison was a power plant engineer for the mill at Greenfield. The Mill produced 'Force' cereal for the Canadian subsidiary of an American company called Hecker-H-0 Company.
Mr. Mathison went on to work at the Carnation Milk company in Aylmer. By the early 50's he went on to run the power plant at the Strathcona Paper mill near Napanee Ontario. After his retirement he moved to Toronto to live with his eldest son.
