Notes |
- He had set aside one acre of his farm as a Methodist cemetery as a burial ground for his family. His death notice said that he was buried in this Methodist cemetery one mile north of the village of Drumbo. Family recollection was that when the farm was sold after his death, that the new owner wished to reclaim the burial site. The remains of family members interred were moved to the Ayr cemetery in Ayr, Ontario. In this cemetery a stone monument was erected. Engraved on two sides of its square column are the names of Thomas, his wife Jane and several of their children. The Pasmore names, worn by time, are difficult to decipher.
Family recollection is that after the Pasmore farm was sold, that his widow Jane owned three houses in the villages of Ayr and Washington. One of the houses was occupied by daughter Martha and her husband Wesley Meriam Ennis until they moved in 1906 to homestead in Wilkie, Saskatchewan.
