  Native of Washington Passes Robert H. Richmond, long prominent in the real estate business in Western Canada and Toronto, and resident in Woodstock in recent years, died at the home of his son-in-law, Rev. George L. Douglas, Woodstock, on Tuesday, Feb. 26. He had been in ill health for some time. Mr. Richmond was born on the family farm at Washington, Ont., a son of the late Mr.. and Mrs. James Richmond. He lived there until going west as a young man. He engaged in the real estate business in Saskatoon, Sask., for a short time, later at Winnipeg until 1933 when he returned east to Toronto and continued in business there until his retirement in 1949. Since then he had been residing at the home of his daughter and son-in-law, Rev, and Mrs, Douglas. He was a member of Knox Presbyterian Church. Surviving are his wife, formerly Martha Queen; one son, Robert, Dick Richmond, Montreal, and one daughter, Mrs. G. L. Douglas (Marjorie), Woodstock; three sisters, Mrs. Oliver Hall, Toronto; Mrs. Morton Hall, Galt, and. Mrs. George Webster, Galt; four grand-children, Roberta and George Richmond, Montreal; George and Robert Douglas, Woodstock. There are also a number of nieces and nephews.
