  John Richard Hall The death occurred at his home on Bruce Street last Wednesday, following an illness of several months, of John Richard Hall, in his 75th year. Deceased, who had been a highly respected resident of this village since 1930, was born on the Hall homestead, 10th concession of Blenheim, a son of the late Mr. and Mrs. James Hall. He farmed in that section practically all his life, some 35 years of which were spent on a farm one mile south of Plattsville. During his residence here Mr. Hall attended Knox United Church. Besides his widow, whose maiden name was Ida Graham, he is survived by a daughter, Mrs. John Robb (Margaret) of St. George, and one son, Graham, of Paris. Also surviving are three sisters, Misses Agnes and Elizabeth Hall, Northumberland Street, Ayr, and Mrs. John J. Brown, South Dumfries. The funeral, which took place to the Ayr Cemetery on Saturday afternoon, was largely attended, friends and relatives being present from Plattsville, Bright, Drumbo, Paris, Galt, Brantford, St. Thomas, Stratford, St. George and Toronto. The services were in charge of Rev. J. W. Currie, and the pallbearers were as follows: Thomas Hall, Plattsville; Wm. G. Edgar, Blair; Graham, Bright; Ernest Graham, Stratford; William Easton and William Gracey, Bright. The Ayr News Dec 4 1947 pg 12
