- Mrs. Gladys Cameron Passes - Mrs. Lalia Gladys Cameron of Ayr died Thursday, April 27, at St. Mary's Hospital, Kitchener. Born at Waterville, N.S., she was the former Lalia Gladys Lyons. She lived at Langham, Sask., and Lynn, Mass. before coming to Ayr eight years ago to make her home with her daughter and son-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. Bruce Watson. Mrs. Cameron was an adherent of Knox United Church, Ayr, and had been active in the Eastern Star. She was past worthy matron of Langham Chapter, No. 61, of Langham, Sask., and of Victory Chapter, No. 157, of Swampscott, Mass. Mrs. Cameron was predeceased by her husband, Clifford B. Cameron, in 1957. Surviving are one daughter, Mrs. Bruce (Helen) Watson of Ayr; one granddaughter, Mrs. John (Joan) Benson of Danbuhy, Conc.; one grandson, Robert Watson, Ayr; one sister, Mrs. Pearl Lloyd of Summerville, Mass., and one great-grandson, Bradley Benson. Funeral service was held from Little's Funeral Home, Galt, Saturday afternoon, conducted by Rev. D. F. Willis of Knox United Church, Ayr. Interment was made in Ayr Cemetery. Pallbearers were: Jack Kanmacher, Fred Burton, Lloyd Howell, Hugh Montgomery, Charles Nixon and Burton Meyers, all of Ayr.
