  Lifelong Ayr resident, Evelyn Patricia Cromwell of Swan Street, died at St. Mary's General Hospital on Wednesday, April 8th, 1998. She was in her 75th year. Born in Ayr, she was a daughter of the late Sarah Walton and Reginald Hooton. Mrs. Cromwell was a lifelong member of Christ Anglican Church. She was predeceased by her husband the late Frank Cromwell in 1975. She is survived by her sons, Ronald and his wife Judy of Wabaushene and Albert of Toronto; her daughter, Karen and her husband Wayne Sage of Gadshill; grandchildren Steven, Crystal, Sarah, Jennifer and Erin; her brother, Leonard Hooton and his wife Janet and was a special aunt to Bruce Hooton and Trish Elliot, all of Ayr. Funeral service was held at Christ Anglican Church Monday, April 13. Reverend Lynne Calhoun officiated. Interment was in Ayr Cemetery. The Ayr News 22 Apr 1998 pg 12
