Notes - SIMS, Gordon Thomas Peacefully, at Stirling Heights Long Term Care Centre, Cambridge, on Sunday, June 26, 2011, formerly of Ayr, in his 85th year. Beloved husband to the late Hilda (nee Roberts - 2007); loved dad to Howard (Sharon) of Paris, Micheal (Bev) of Durham, and Kathy Mathewson (Brad) of Ayr; cherished grandpa to seven grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren; dear brother to William (Audrey) of Cambridge and Robert (Marie) of Woodstock and cousin to Elsie and Len Brown of Cambridge. Also survived by many nieces and nephews. Predeceased by brothers George, Walter, and Elvy and sisters Margaret Dolson and Dorothy Dolson, and a cousin Art Edwards. Gord was a Veteran of WWII and a member of the Royal Canadian Legion Branch 121 Cambridge for over 60 years. He was employed with General Tower until his retirement. Cremation has taken place.
