  John W. Bechtel Long-time Ayr resident, John Wesley Bechtel of Piper Street, died at the Brantford General Hospital on Thursday, October 26th, 2000. He was in his 69th year. The son of the late Marjorie (Scott) and Henry Bechtel, John was born in the Town of Acton and was a former employee of Schneider's in Ayr. He will be sadly missed by his daughter Kathy and her husband George McWilliams of Petersburg; grandchildren Vicky and her friend Jeff Stere, and Darcy Perrin and his friend Kristi Jackson, all of RR 1, Ayr; and special friend Verna MacDonald of Drumbo. Also survived by brothers, Harold Bechtel and his wife Allie of Cambridge, and Bob Bechtel and his wife Rose of Guelph; nieces and nephews Scott and Cheryl of Toronto and Mike and Ashley of Guelph. Rested at the Ayr Chapel, Wm. Kipp Funeral Home, on Saturday, October 28th. Interment was in Ayr Cemetery. The Ayr News Nov 1 2000 pg 12
