Notes |
- A substantial 2&112 storey Arts & Crafts style residence built in 1913 by A. C. Quickfall. It is a yellow-brown brick side-gabled structure with gambrel roof having a prominent centre dormer flanked by two smaller dormers, a full-width front verandah which is presently closed in, and an oriel window at the second storey level. The lot had been purchased in 1903 by William Collard, ice contractor for Victoria Park, who built an ice storage building there. In 1905, Mr. Quickfall acquired the ice-cutting contract and then the ice house property. This handsome residence is in near original condition and excellently maintained.
