  Benjamin Erb, "the eighth and youngest son of Joseph and Mary (Kolb) Erb, was born May 24th, 1852. After he was of age he entered the mercantile business in Preston until the year 1893 when he sold out and on March 15th of the same year he moved to Arnaud, Manitoba, where he is engaged in farming. He is married to Lizzie Roos and has a family of three children" Eby, Ezra E. (1895). A biographical history of Waterloo township and other townships of the county: being a history of the early settlers and their descendants, mostly all of Pennsylvania Dutch origin: as also much other unpublished historical information chiefly of a local character.
