  Death of Mabel Barnett A resident of Ayr nearly all of her life, Miss Mabel Barnett, 64, passed away at K-W Hospital on Saturday. She had been in poor health for some time and had been hospitalized on several occasions. She was born in Innerkip, the daughter of the late Robert Barnett and Eliza Townley, and came here as a child. Prior to her illness she had been engaged as an industrial worker. The late Miss Barnett was a member of Knox United Church. She was the last surviving member of her family. A brother, Percy, passed away two years ago. The Funeral Funeral service was held at the Ball Funeral Home on Monday, conducted by Rev. W. J. V. Buchanan. Internment, was made in Ayr Cemetery. The pallbearers were: J. Howard Reid, Wm. G. Edgar, John Ennis, Norman H. Bennett, Wallace Dance and Anderson Marshall. The Ayr News Apr 12 1962 pg 22
