- Benjamin Wismer Dies - The death occurred in Kitchener on Tuesday of Benjamin Hewitt Wismer n his 83rd year. He was born in Blair but lived in Ayr most of his life. He was a carpenter by trade and for many years worked in the Watson and Hilborn factories. He left Ayr 27 years ago to reside in Kitchener. He is survived by the following children, his wife, whose maiden name was Margaret Ariss, having passed away in 1911: Mrs. Edward Matheson (Lottie), Orillia; Mrs. Norman Bortz (Margaret), Kitchener; Mrs. Herbert H. Wagner, (Julia), Detroit; Mrs. Elam Woolner (Adeline), Windsor; Benjamin Mr. Wismer, Oakland, Calif.; William J. Wismer, Walkerton; Mrs. Arthur Hausler (Dorothy), Detroit; Mrs. Bert Holtzhauer (Irene), Roseville. Two brothers also survive: Joseph of Ayr and William of Pontiac, Mic. There are also 28 grandchildren and six great-grandchildren. Burial was made in Ayr Cemetery on Thursday, Rev. Finlay G. Stewart officiating.
