  • Notes
    • Clarence Snell - Born December 23, 1926, Clarence Snell of Paris, formerly of Ayr, died peacefully surrounded by his family on Saturday, March 2, 2002. Clarence leaves to mourn his beloved wife Ella (Woloff); his six children, Ron (Julia) of Wolverton, Gloria Rozen (Chester) of Cambridge, Christine McDonald of Cambridge, Ray (Dori Ann), Michael (Cindy) and Bob (Heather), all of Ayr; his 12 grandchildren (Jackie deceased 1977); and three great-grandchildren; missed too by his canine companion Jenny. Predeceased by his parents, two brothers and a sister; also survived by a brother and a sister. Clarence was born in Paris and lived all his life in the Paris/Ayr area. Mechanically inclined, Clarence loved to putter in his garage repairing anything his kids or friends brought him. A fine sportsman, he played for the Ayr Rockets Hockey Club and enjoyed fishing at the Bay of Quinte in the spring and hunting locally in the fall. He enjoyed many years of cottaging at Balsam Lake - a tradition his family carries on today. A loved husband, father and grandfather; and loyal friend, Clarence will be dearly missed. At the request of the family, there will be no visitation. In honour of Clarence's wishes, cremation has taken place. Interment Ayr Cemetery. A private family service will be held at a later date. Born in Paris and died in Paris, the circle is complete. Arrangements by Ayr Chapel, Wm. Kipp Funeral Home.
