  Albert (Slack) Melvin Albert Robertson (Slack) Melvin, a lifelong resident of Ayr, passed away at Freeport Hospital, Kitchener, on Friday, June 5th. He was in his 90th year. Born in Ayr, he was a son of the late Albert R. Melvin and Jean A. Cuthhertson. He was a retired bridge foreman with the C.P.R. and an avid hunter and fisherman. Dear brother of David Melvin of Stratford. Predeceased by a sister Agnes Melvin (1925) and brother Hugh L. Melvin (1983), both of Ayr. Rested at the Ayr Chapel of Wm. Kipp Funeral Home where complete funeral service was conducted Monday by Rev. James Young of Knox United Church, Ayr. Interment Ayr Cemetery. The Ayr News 10 Jun 1992 pg 15
