  Death of Mrs. Jacob Hesse We are sorry to report the death of Mrs. Jacob Hesse, which occurred at her home in Toronto, on Sunday at the age of 65 years, after a lengthy illness. The deceased's maiden name was Marion Erb, and she was born in Bloomingdale. Since her marriage she resided for many years in Burk's Falls and Lindsay and latterly in Toronto. For about a year Mr. and Mrs. Hess were residents of New Hamburg. The deceased was a faithful member of the Evangelical Church and had a large circle of friends who deeply mourn her demise. She leaves her sorrowing husband and one daughter, Mrs. Lockwood, also of Toronto. The remains were brought here on Tuesday and laid to rest in Riverside cemetery. The funeral obsequies were conducted by Rev. A. E. Pletsch, pastor of the local Evangelical Church. New Hamburg Independent 22 Mar 1929
