      PRESTON, Jan. 6 - Stricken suddenly with a heart attack, Frank Joseph Doerfler, well-known Preston resident, died before medical aid could be secured about 5 o'clock yesterday afternoon. Born in Germany, Mr. Doerfler came to Canada at the age of one year and resided in Preston since that time, forming a large circle of friends. For the past 47 years he was employed at the Canadian Office and School Furniture in the capacity of foreman. A member of St. Clement's R.C. Church, the C.M.B.A. and the Holy Name Society, he was also a member of the Moose Lodge and the Moose Legion. Surviving are three cousins in Preston, Mrs. William Kimpel, Mrs. Albert Kimpel and Mrs. Ayton Snider. His mother predeceased him ten years ago. For the past ten years Mr. Doerfler had made his home with Mr. and Mrs. Percy Young, Lowther St. The remains are resting at the Stager-Pass Funeral Home from where the funeral will be held on Wednesday with requiem high mass at St. Clement's R.C. Church at 9 a.m. Interment will be in the R.C. Cemetery, Preston.
