- WILLIAM C. SHEARER By Record Correspondent.
PRESTON. May 21- William C. Shearer, 425 Church street. 65, died at St. Mary's Hospital, Kitchener, yesterday, Deceased was born in Preston [birth record indicates East Whitby] where he resided practically all his life.
A druggist by profession, Mr. Shearer spent four years in Brockville after he learned the profession in Preston. Returning to Preston he managed his father's electric light plant at Blair. When Preston inaugurated their own hydro system he entered the services of the Buffalo Sled Company and later Clare Bros. At the time of his death operated a grocery store.
Surviving are his wife. His only sister. Mrs. Dalton Wismer, predeceased him in 1918. Funeral services will be held Tuesday from the residence to St. Clement's R.C, church for requiem high mass at 9 a.m., with interment in Mount Hope Cemetery, Kitchener. Remains will rest at H. K. Stager Funeral Home until Sunday at 10 a.m
