- Miss Rosina Seyffert
PRESTON, June 17 - Last surviving member of the Seyffert family and lifelong resident of Preston, Miss Rosina Seyffert, 83, died at the Galt General Hospital at 4 o'clock yesterday. Ill for some time, she had been confined to the hospital for two weeks. Miss Seyffert, daughter of pioneer residents of Preston, was born and lived in Preston all her life and formed a large circle of intimate friends. Her parents were the late Frederick and Margareha Seyffert. Mrs. Seyffert, mother of the deceased, had the distinction of living to the age of 104 years. For the past year and a half Miss Seyffert had made her home at the Preston Springs. She was employed at Pattinson Woollen Mill for some time, but had lived retired for many years. A member of St. Peter's Lutheran Church, she was active in various organizations of the church until her advanced age necessitated her retirement. Surviving are nieces and nephews. The body is resting at the Stager Pass Funeral Home where the funeral will be held Monday at 2: 30. Interment will be in the Preston Cemetery.
