- Last Saturday night occurred the death of Mrs. Catherne Allemang at her home in Richland Grove township, Mercer county. She was born in France June 15. 1895. being 92 years, 5 months and 19 days old. She moved with her parents from France to Canada in early youth and was married there in 1833 to Henry Allemang, and with her husband and three children she came to this country and made it her home until death. She was the mother of seven children. three of whom survive her, Mr. Allemang having died several years ago. One daughter in Canada. Henry Allemang and Mrs. Henry J. Simmon, of Rural, survive her. The funeral was held from the home of her son, Henry Allemang, Tuesday afternoon at 1 o'clock with interment at the Sherrard cemetery. Rev. Zimmerman conducted the services. Grandmother Allemang was a faithful member of the German Evangelical church for many years.
