  C. Anderson, Alderman of Preston, Passes By Record Correspondent PRESTON, Dec. 19.- -Alderman A. Carman Anderson, popularly known Preston resident for the past eight years, who in that short span of time had become active in many diversified phases of municipal activity, died suddenly early last evening. Mr. Anderson, accompanied by him wife, Was attending the Park Theatre when he was suddenly stricken, presumably with a heart attack. Medical attention was called when he slumped suddenly in him seat, passing away a few minutes later. While not in the best of health recently, he has continued active in various duties, both in his employment and in his civic capacity. Born In Camlachle, Ont., Mr. Anderson came to Preston eight years ago and made his home here since that time. He was engaged As an executive assistant at the Eastern Steel Products Ltd., and had formed large circle of friends due to his winning personality and his active participation in many community activities. Nominated for Municipal Council in November last year, he completed the aldermanic contest in second position, and was a valued member of the Council during the past year. He was chairman of the Preston Swimming Pool Committee and under his able leadership much progress was made at the pool. He was also chairman of the municipal band committee and was keenly active in the promotion of the reorganization of a band in Preston under Canadian Legion sponsorship.
