  Death of Frederick Schroeder Another well known Prestonian passed away Friday. In the person of Frederick Schroeder. Deceased was horn in Germany, but came to this country when quite young and has resided here for a number of years. He had been ill only a week and his death comes as a shock to his friends and acquaintances. Although a mason by trade the late Mr. Stroeder had been employed as a wood cutter in the bush by Mr. Hipel. He was in his 38th year and in religion a Lutheran. Deceased is survived by a sorrowing wife and two small children, Ella aged two years, and Louise only four months old. The funeral was held Sunday from the late residence on Moore street to the Preston cemetery for Interment at 2.30 p. m. Waterloo Chronicle 7 Mar 1918 pg 6
