  EITEL. At Preston, Sept. 30th, George Eitel, aged 83 years and 9 months. Waterloo County Chronicle, 13 Oct 1898, p. 8 __________ Geo. Eitel, Sr. Early on Saturday morning, Oct. 1st, death came peacefully to Mr. George Eitel, Sr., Preston, who had reached the advanced age of 83 years and nine months. Mr. Eitel was as old and much respected citizen of Preston, having resided there since 1852 Deceased was born in Germany in 1815. Three sons and three daughters survive him. The sons are John, Fred and George who reside here, and the daughters are Mrs. W. Kleinstueber, Mrs. W. Gingrich, Preston, and Mrs. Neubauer, of Morriston. The funeral took place on Monday afternoon at 2 o'clock from his late residence to St. Peter's Lutheran church, where services were conducted by the pastor, Rev. J.C.C.
