  JOHN HILL MACKENZIE PRESTON. Nov. 23--John Hill Mackenzie, well-known Preston resident for the past 39 years, died at the Galt General Hospital yesterday afternoon at the age of 68 years. Mr. Mackenzie had been sick for two weeks and confined to hospital for a day, his sudden passing coming as a shock to his many friends. Born in Lucknow, Ont., he resided in Hespeler for three years before coming to Preston. A furniture finisher by trade, he was employed at the Canadian Office and School Furniture Co. He was a member of Knox Presbyterian Church. Surviving are his wife; two daughters, Mrs. Marguerite Downer, Lindenhurst, Long Island, New York; Mrs. Myrtle Walters, Preston, and one granddaughter. The remains are resting at the Stager-Pass Funeral Home from where the funeral will take place on Monday at 2: 30. Interment will be in the Preston Cemetery.
