- Mrs. Florence Bradley
PRESTON, Aug. 30 - Resident of Blair for the past 26 years and well and popularily known in the district. Florence Jones, widow of John F. W. Bradley, died at Galt General Hospital shortly after 2 o'clock Sunday morning at the age of 72 years. Mrs. Bradley suffered injuries in a fall May 8 this year and had been confined to hospital since that time. Born in London, England, she resided there until 1914 when she came to Canada, directly to Preston where she resided for eight years, before making her home in Blair. A member of St. John's Anglican Church, Preston, she was also a member of the Preston Springs Chapter, Order of the Eastern Star Lodge. Her husband predeceased her Dec. 5, 1945. Surviving are a daughter, Mrs. Gordon Kinzie, of Preston; two. sons, John E. Bradley of Whitby, and Walter Bradley of Blair; seven grandchildren; a brother, Evan J. Jones, Preston, and a sister. Mrs. George Brady of Los Angeles. A service will be conducted at the funeral home this evening by the Preston Springs Chapter, Order of the Eastern Star Lodge. The body is resting at the Stager-Pass Funeral Home. The funeral will be held at St. John's Anglican Church Tuesday at 2.30 p.m. Interment will be in the Preston cemetery.
